Members of SMIG are ensured of having a viable voice and participation in the political and economic culture of the community. Monthly membership luncheons are generally held on the first Monday of the month at 12:00 noon at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. Guest speakers are chosen from local, state and national political leaders, as well as industrial leaders who bring current events and informative topics before the membership.
