St. Mary Industrial Group (SMIG) is a non-profit organization of business and
industry that incorporated in the State of SMIG was organized for the following purposes: v To promote fellowship and a better understanding of
the mutual problems affecting those engaged in industrial relations work in
industry and business v To encourage the application of scientific methods
to the human problems of industry and business, thereby increasing efficiency v To keep in touch with modern thoughts and trends in
industrial relations by securing speakers of prominence and outstanding
ability in their vocations or professions v To provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas
and discussion relating to all phases of industrial relations and other areas
of interest to the membership v To render service to the members by offering advice
and guidance on matters affecting industrial relations when called upon by
membership v To render service to the community on industrial
relations matters v To join allied associations, and send delegates to
regional meetings and conventions, to take any other action generally
consistent with the goals of the organization |
